From the charming coastal village of Porto Covo to the enchanting town of Vila Nova de Milfontes, cyclists will traverse coastal paths and scenic trails, immersing themselves in the region's captivating beauty. Pedaling through lush countryside and rolling hills, riders will encounter authentic villages and ancient landscapes, including the picturesque stretch from Vila Nova de Milfontes to Santa Clara-a-Velha and the exhilarating climb from Santa Clara-A-Velha to Sabóia.

Stage 1 of the bike route between Troia and Vila Nova de Milfontes offers a breathtaking experience along the coast, with golden dunes, inviting beaches and panoramic views of the cliffs.

Day 3 Stage 2

Vila Nova de Milfontes to Odemira | Between cliffs and small fishing villages

Today you'll start your ride on a nice gravel road heading south. After leaving you'll head south towards Odemira, one of "7 wonders" associated with Portugal. However, Odemira, like many other regions in Portugal, is known for its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and unique attractions. Here are seven noteworthy features or wonders you might explore in and around Odemira:
Vicentine Coast Natural Park: Odemira is part of the Vicentine Coast Natural Park, offering pristine landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and stunning cliffs along the Atlantic coastline. Almograve Beach: This picturesque beach near Odemira is known for its golden sands, clear waters, and scenic surroundings. It's a great spot for relaxation and seaside walks. Historic Center of Odemira: Explore the charming historic center of Odemira, characterized by traditional whitewashed buildings, cobbled streets, and a relaxed atmosphere. Santa Clara-a-Velha: a medieval monastery located near Odemira, providing a glimpse into the region's historical and architectural heritage. Santa Clara Dam: The Santa Clara Dam, also known as Barragem de Santa Clara, is a tranquil reservoir surrounded by hills and greenery. It's a serene location for picnics and enjoying nature. Day 4 | Stage 3

Odemira to Aljezur | Nature, beaches and surfing

Stage 3 of the route takes you from Odemira to Aljezur, exploring the stunning landscapes of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina Natural Park. You can enjoy panoramic views of the rugged coastline before arriving in the picturesque village of Aljezur, where you can relax and enjoy the local atmosphere.

Day 5 | Stage 4

The fourth stage, from Aljezur to Carrapateira, is an exciting experience along the Costa Vicentina. Cycling along back roads and coastal paths, you'll enjoy amazing views of the cliffs and unspoiled beaches along the way. Once in Carrapateira, you can relax and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of this charming coastal village.

Stage 5 takes us from Carrapateira to Sagres, offering a thrilling journey through the wild and unspoiled landscape of the Costa Vicentina. When you arrive in Sagres, you can enjoy the vibrant feel of this historic town

Day 7 | Stage 6

Sagres to Lagos | Cycling along the coast with the sunshine guiding your way

Stage 6 takes you from Sagres to Lagos through the magnificent scenery of the Algarve coast. As you cycle along coastal roads and picturesque trails, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and impressive rock formations. Arriving in Lagos, you can enjoy the vibrant energy of this historic city, marking the end of this unforgettable bike ride along Portugal's southwest coast.

A transfer service from the airport until the starting point and from the ending point until the airport is available.

All tours that respect the designated departure day have shared transfers. They can be at the beginning, middle or end of the tour. The schedules are the following:

Please note: Clients are advised to bring their own helmets, although we can provide a limited number of second-hand helmets, if required, at no extra charge. Clients may purchase a brand-new helmet from us for an additional 80 euros. If required, these must be requested when booking your journey, otherwise we cannot guarantee availability.
